Diamonds are forever — except on Billionaire's Row.

A Formula 1 heiress discovered that $66 million worth of jewelry had been swiped from her palatial home on London's Billionaire's Row — just hours after she left town for Christmas vacation.

The caper took place late on Friday night, when three burglars allegedly broke into Tamara Ecclestone's 57-room mansion in North London and broke into two safes in her bedroom.

"Tamara and family are well but obviously angry and shaken by the incident," said a spokesman for the 35-year-old socialite, known for flaunting her lavish bling on Instragram.

Tamara's father, former F1 chief Bernie Ecclestone, is convinced the raid on his daughter's precious jewels was an inside job.

"I don't have all the facts but given all the security at the house, I'm assuming it was an inside job," the business magnate told Britain's The Sun newspaper.

The heist unfolded at about 11 p.m. Friday night when burglars apparently sneaked through a garden and broke into the home, according to the paper.

The thieves appeared to know exactly where to look — finding the safes hidden in the separate dressing rooms of Ecclestone and her husband, Jay Rutland.

"Whoever did this was in the house for 50 minutes in total and had time to smash open the safes that are hidden," a source told The Sun. "Neither would be easy to find."

The burglars even slipped by Ecclestone's security and the 24-hour guards that patrol the famed street, a short walk from Kensington Palace.

A security guard allegedly confronted the trio, sending them racing out a window.

The group made off with a stash that included precious rings, earrings and a $105,000 Cartier bangle Ecclestone received as a wedding present.

"Every single piece of jewelry that she had in her safe has gone and some of them had such personal meaning," the source said.

Ecclestone had a jaw-dropping collection of Rolex, Hublot and Cartier watches, as well as several sets of $67,000 diamond earrings, according to the Daily Mail.

She flaunted a bevy of expensive-looking gems, including stone-encrusted hoops and sparkling bangles, as well as her two massive engagement rings, on her Instagram account.

Just hours before the caper, she shared a snap of her family boarding a private jet before heading to Lapland, Finland.

Metropolitan Police arrived at the scene after the burglars had already made their getaway. No arrests have been made.

Jeweler Julez Bryant-DeCosta knows the sentimental value of sparkly treasures, so it's no surprise that she organized a three-ring celebration for her daughter Gia's 16th birthday. Not only did the San Diego mom take her teen on an epic tour of Italy, but she gifted her girl a precious keepsake in every destination they visited.

"We went to Rome, Florence and Venice, and I got a ring on the first morning that we woke up in every city," recalls Gia Gonzales-Schaake, now 27 and a jewelry designer for her mother's company. In fact, she revamped one of the diamond-topped gold bands and wears it next to her wedding ring.

"I really wanted her to have something as a memory of our time together," Bryant-DeCosta tells Alexa. "When you give fine jewelry to a young woman, she is receiving an heirloom that will be part of her life history."

Of course, Bryant-DeCosta is a gold pro who can choose the perfect coming-of-age presents from her namesake collection. But what should a layperson pick for a finicky Gen Z-er whose accessories typically consist of tangled friendship bracelets and rubber wristbands?

Jewelry expert Beth Bernstein says to start with thinner, delicate items that can be mixed and matched, layered and stacked. "You want to look for things that are cool but also timeless," says the New York-based author, who has penned three books about her favorite subject. "Each year you can get them something that they can wear with the other pieces."

Shop for comfortable styles with secure clasps (teens have a tendency to lose things) that can be worn from bed to the shower. Bernstein favors yellow gold — more youthful than dressy white gold — and likes to mix metals.

In the earring department, she recommends medium-size gold hoops, diamond studs (0.20 or 0.25 carats each), gemstone drop earrings and earring jackets for the under-20s. "If she puts the earring jacket on her diamond studs, it will give her a different look. Today, even younger girls like personalization."

When it comes to necklaces, Bernstein suggests starting with an easy-to-wear diamond initial pendant or diamond solitaire design. A longer chain (24 to 32 inches) — with stations of diamonds, gemstones or a motif — is a versatile addition.

Build a wardrobe of arm candy, she says, with a thin diamond bangle and a bracelet featuring a good-luck charm or an inspiring message, like "Joy" or "Peace."

Kids also love to express themselves with fistfuls of rings. Buy your high-schooler a narrow diamond micropavé eternity band, an initial or motif ring, or a very simple gemstone number. Bernstein is also a fan of birthstones.

To mark a very important occasion, invest in something from a heritage jeweler. Both Bernstein and Bryant say you can't go wrong with classics like Cartier's "Love" bracelet or Van Cleef & Arpels' "Alhambra" necklace.

Gonzales-Schaake suggests pairing the bijou with a beautiful jewelry box. "It was chosen with love and should be treated with respect and stored in a special place."
