The writeup took everybody by surprise including ourselves who thought he was dating South African television and radio host, Bonang Matheba as he paraded her on the red carpet of MTV MAMA Award held in South Africa and when he was called the winner of Evolution Award, D'banj publicly kissed her on the mouth at the event. That probably was not the case. D'banj obviously didnot anticipate that his post wishing Adama Indimi happy birthday and calling her his princess and queen of his heart would degenerate to war of words between his Nigerian fans and South African fans on Instagram.
The South African fans felt slighted and viewed it that their girl, Bonang Matheba referred to as South African queen had been used and dumped by D'banj.
It got so dirty that the issue of xenophobia came up in their comments.
Meanwhile Bonang deleted some photos of her and D'banj together and put her Instagram on private as some fans had already started taunting her.
All the parties involved, D'banj, Bonang and Adama have not made any comment on the issue.
