Barns, Cows, and Small Town Stores

Yesterday the Farmer Man and I took the Jeep out for a drive.  We left out before noon, in hope of avoiding some of the heat.

Though the clouds kept building up, not a drop of rain fell.  No traffic and only the occasional jarfly providing noise.

Everywhere we went, cows were seeking relief from the heat.

At lunchtime we were back in our community and needed some lunch.  A stop at our local country store was in order.  Sandwiches, produce, and conversations are always available.

We listened in on some local, "news", that garnered some laughs while we enjoyed our lunch.  Ski is our local drink.  Similar to Mt. Dew, but a stronger flavor.

I came home with some fresh tomatoes and peaches, but not all of those onions sitting on our table.

Linking up to The Barn Collective today.
