Wednesday WIPs

Last week I promised before and after photos of the craft room clean and purge, but I have none. I have been going through the totes that I use to transport card making and scrapbooking supplies and I totally forgot about taking photos. I think because I wasn't actually in the craft room. I do have a couple of "after" photos though.  Warning... they are not impressive.

This is the little corner that I cleaned up last week. Can you see the plastic container with rolls of wrapping paper by the desk? There is a top that goes on it that hides the paper but I have three rolls of paper that are taller than the cover so it's not on. The bookshelf looks disorganized but it really isn't. The top shelf holds photo albums, the second shelf holds various craft kits that I have purchased to make with my grandchildren, the third shelf is completed scrapbooks and the bottom shelf has a basket of miscellaneous items.

This is my desk. I don't really use it much as when I work at home on projects I prefer to set up a card table in the living room so that I can watch television and chat with my hubby. I tend to work at my desk more in warmer weather. The desk is an old oak (VERY heavy) drafting table from an area school that we bought at a garage sale for $5. The white shelving unit is another $5 garage sale find.

This is my wheeled scrapbook tote. When I started it was full of paper, stickers and tools. Now it has a small stack of white paper and a work mat.

This is another traveling tote that was full of everything imaginable... spare tape rolls, cutters, my Cuttlebug and dies, tools, paper, embellishments. Now it has some stamps and my Cuttlebug tools in it. The stamps will go into another spot but I have to make room for them first.

And this box has paper and stickers that need to be filed. I sort the paper by color and then put it into its proper drawer. The stickers also need to be sorted and put into their proper storage boxes. I sort the stickers by event... birthdays, holidays etc.

So, in summary... all three of those containers were chock full of stuff. I threw out anything that I deemed unusable and have a box of things for the thrift store.  Not tremendous progress, but progress nevertheless, so all is good!

I also finished my last 1898 hat. I have knitted seven of those hats since mid-January and I think that is quite enough hats for now! I think I will do some cup cozies... something simple and fun to make.
What are you working on?

Thanks for dropping by...
